In addition, our project will offer fabulous views of the Little Rock skyline and Arkansas River. The Enclave at the Riverfront will be the premier residential community in the downtown Little Rock/North Little Rock market.”

“It’s hard to believe that January 31, 2007 will mark the fifth anniversary of The Peabody Hotel in Little Rock.  Needless to say, the vision of Martin S. Belz, President and Chairman of The Peabody Hotel Group, has proven to be right on the mark, with his decision to invest in a revitalized and expanding market here in the capital city.

As The Peabody Hotel’s general manager, I have been at the helm since 2004.  As a former sales and marketing director at the world famous Peabody Hotel in Memphis, I set a course to capitalize on the increased awareness that Little Rock has enjoyed since the opening of the William Jefferson Clinton Presidential Library.  We have seen unprecedented increases in both leisure and convention visitors since the Library’s opening.  And it hasn’t stopped there.  The growth of the River Market District, the presence of Heifer International, and impressive downtown residential development all has kept Little Rock in the national spotlight.

We’re also optimistic about planned improvements on Little Rock’s riverfront.  The Peabody Hotel group has secured the naming rights for what will be called PeabodyPark, located just steps outside the hotel’s rear entrance.  The park will feature an attractive splash pool, sunning area, and be linked to the Arkansas River Trail system.  The Peabody plans to offer rental bicycles and old-fashioned surrey rides to their guests.  This one-of-a-kind park just outside of our back door allows us to offer resort type amenities at a downtown hotel. We’re excited to see our beautiful riverfront utilized so well.

With the hotel’s five-year anniversary approaching, a full calendar of local events aimed to Little Rock residents are in the works.  It’s always been our goal for The Peabody to be regarded as Little Rock’s social hub.”
