Dan F. Bakke

“PulaskiTechnicalCollege is proud to be a leader in workforce education in central Arkansas. As the largest and fastest growing two-year college and the fifth largest college in the state, Pulaski Technical College offers more than 50 programs comprised of day, evening, Saturday, and online courses offered at six locations.

Students may pursue an associate degree for university transfer or enroll in technical/occupational education in pursuit of a technical certificate or an associate of applied science degree. Pulaski Tech offers a personalized, quality education featuring small classes, cutting-edge technology, and dedicated faculty and staff.

Locations conveniently located a few minutes’ drive from downtown include the main campus in North Little Rock, a site on Kanis Road in Little Rock, and the Aviation Maintenance Technology Center at the North Little Rock Airport. Other locations include the SalineCountyCareerCenter in Bauxite, the SalineCountyAdultEducationCenter in Benton, the MaumelleEducationCenter, and in 2008 we will open the TransportationTechnologyCenter in southwest Little Rock.

The Pulaski Technical College Business and IndustryCenter is located at the Aerospace Education Center/IMAX Theater by Little RockNationalAirport. The center provides customized business and industry training, management development, computer applications instruction, and supervisory training workshops.

All of these projects help us meet the needs of area businesses and industry as we face the challenges of the 21st century. An educated workforce is crucial to economic development, and PTC is dedicated to providing our students the tools they need to succeed.”

Leadership, Advocacy and Opportunity

“The Downtown Little Rock Partnership is proud to contribute to the growing revitalization of Little Rock’s downtown district. The Partnership is a non-profit, membership-based organization solely dedicated to developing and promoting downtown Little Rock as a high-energy urban environment to live and work, as well as a vibrant national and international tourist destination.

Our vision is to provide leadership, advocacy and opportunity to all who benefit from a thriving downtown area. That vision plays out in the Downtown Little Rock Partnership’s role as the one-stop shop for all downtown-related information and its work to facilitate downtown projects by bringing together investors, downtown entities and resources. We are also committed to helping our members reach new clients and create business-to-business and consumer-to-business partnerships.

The Downtown Little Rock Partnership manages the Metrocentre Improvement District on behalf of property owners and provides environmental maintenance for a 45-block area.  Additionally, we work closely with the Little Rock Police Department to help provide focused, 24-hour security throughout downtown.

Downtown Little Rock has re-established itself as the heart of the city, and the Downtown Little Rock Partnership has seized that momentum to accelerate the pace of growth. Our success is defined by downtown Little Rock’s success, and it is working actively to make the area a more attractive place to live, work and visit.”
