Now you’re talkin’!  Greater Little Rock’s nightlife is full of music clubs of all genres and more.  We’re listing the clubs that regularly have live entertainment.  But keep in mind all the restaurants sport a great bar atmosphere where locals love to hang in their neighborhoods.  Live music is sometimes in the background. Other bars just keep it simple.  Additionally, decks and patios are big in the south and you’ll find both giant decks on the Arkansas River and small intimate home-like settings.  Whew, it’s time for a cold one. 

Afterthought: Light jazz and pop standards at 8 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays, Arkansas Jazz Heritage Foundation jazz shows featuring regional and national acts at 8 p.m. Mondays. Cover varies. 2721 Kavanaugh Blvd., 663-1196. 

Aquarium: A club geared toward alternative lifestyles, mostly focusing on female clientele, open usually on weekends. 824 W. Capitol Ave., 375-8580. 

Blank Generation: Downtown rock club featuring heavier music (both local and touring acts) 8 p.m.Thursday through Saturday. Cover $5. 608 Main St., 378-7865. 

Cajun’s Wharf: Nightly free happy hour entertainment and a cover charge for the acts starting at 8:30 p.m.Thursday through Saturday. Headliners are regional and national rock and blues acts. 2400 Cantrell Road, 375-5351. 

Cornerstone Deli and Pub:  The pub’s beer selection and heavier drinks along with regular live music make this a fine place for the night!  Convenient location in North Little Rockright on the trolley line.  Favorite place with the locals.  312 Main Street,  374-1782. 

Discovery: High-energy DJ music on Saturday, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Shares space with Back Street, catering to alternative lifestyles and open nightly. Private club. 1021 Jessie Road, 664-4784 for Discovery, 664-2744 for Backstreet. 

Downtown Music and Records: Local and regional heavy rock acts at 9 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. 215 W. Capitol Ave., 376-1819 or downtownshows@yahoo.com. 

Easy Street Piano Bar: Featuring pop, Broadway standards and other classics from a variety of piano players Monday through Saturday, starting at 8 p.m. 307 W. Seventh St., 372-3530. 

Electric Cowboy: Country dance music and live acts Wednesday through Saturday, Top 40 on weekends. Open until 5 a.m. on weekends. Dance lessons Wednesday and Thursday. Private club. 9515 Interstate 30, 562-6000. 

Ernie Biggs’ ChicagoStyle Piano Bar: One of two River Market area dueling piano bars. 8 p.m.-2 a.m. Tuesday-Sunday. 307 President Clinton Ave., 372-4782, www.erniebiggs.com. 

The Factory: Downtown club catering to alternative livestyles, open Friday through Saturday starting at 5 p.m.Friday and 8 p.m. Saturday. 412 Louisiana St., 372-3070, www.thefactoryclub.com. 

Flying Saucer Draught Emporium: Live acoustic music 7:30 p.m. Thursdays. Occasional regional or national touring acts. Vast selection of brews from throughout the world. 323 President Clinton Ave., 372-7468. 

The Fountain Dive: The first pool hall/games/sports bar type club to open in Hillcrest in years. Large selection of wine and beers. Occasional live music. 2809 Kavanaugh, 614-9818. 

Juanita’s Cantina Ballroom:Rock, jazz, blues, alternative, reggae and other forms from local, regional and national acts throughout the week, with varying cover charges. 1300 S. Main St., 374-3271, www.juanitas.com. 

Midtown Billiards: Blues or rock music at midnight Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, plus occasional midnight midweek shows. Usually $3 cover charge above private-club membership fee. Open daily at 3 p.m. for pool tables and other games, plus bar. 1316 S. Main St., 372-9990. 

Press Box: Live blues and rock music at 9 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, blues on Tuesday, karaoke on Thursdays. 3301 Fair Park, 562-8175.  

Sticky Fingerz Rock ’n’ Roll Chicken Shack:Local, regional and nationally famous rock, jam, alternative, bluegrass, reggae, country rock and retro-country bands at 9-9:30 p.m. throughout the week. Cover varies. 107 Commerce St., 372-7707, www.stickyfingerz.com. 

The Underground Pub: Local and regional rock or blues music on Fridays and Saturdays. Open mike on Wednesdays, acoustic music on Thursdays. No cover. 500 President Clinton Ave., 707-2537. 

Vino’s Brewpub: Local, regional and national modern and heavy rock and punk weekends and some weekdays. Cover varies. 923 W. Seventh St., 375-8466, www.vinosbrewpub.com. 

West EndSmokehouse and Tavern:Music, more than 50 TVs, massive bar, pool tables, and local and national touring acts on weekends. 15 N. Shackleford, 224-7665. 

White Water Tavern:Regional and local blues and rock acts Thursdays through Saturdays (usually with a $5 cover), open mike night on Mondays and Tuesdays and blues jam with no cover on Wednesdays. Seventh and Thayer Sts., 375-8400. 

Willy D’s: River Market dueling piano bar and restaurant with dinner service. 7 p.m.-1 a.m.Tuesday through Thursday and Saturday, 7 p.m.-2 a.m. Friday. 322 President Clinton Ave., 244-9550.
